Sempa Ancillary Services Network
The electric grid generates and delivers electricity. Electricity cannot be stored, the energy generated is used at the instant it is created. As a result, electrical systems require Ancillary Services in order to maintain a balance between the supply of electricity and the demand for it. Fast responding services, like regulation, have traditionally been supplied by electricity generators that are capable of changing output quickly in response to a signal from the electrical system operator. The Smart Grid means that this service can now be provided by managing loads, an approach that is much preferred by electrical system operators.
The Sempa Ancillary Services Network aggregates large energy consumers, such as institutional, industrial and commercial businesses and then manages these Resource Partner's energy loads to enable them as a source of ancillary services, without affecting the daily operations of the resources. The Resource Partners are remunerated for providing this service and the electrical system operator gets a more stable electrical system with a clear path for growth of the smart grid.

The Sempa Hybrid Heating System™ has a proven track record of providing demonstrable value and compelling return on investment. Customers who have deployed Sempa's patent-pending technology and services realize costs savings on average of 10% to 30% per month with reductions in Green House Gas emissions between 20% and 50% per month. With Sempa's optional lease financing, customers are able to implement a Sempa Hybrid Heating System™ with no capital and with immediately positive cash flow.
