Sempa Power Systems was formed with building owners and condo stratas to identify ways to reduce the cost of heating buildings, starting in the resort community of Whistler. After experimenting with the use of off-peak electricity to displace fossil fuels for certain fuel heating applications, they realized how novel the concept and approach really was. They patented some of the core ideas, further enhanced and developed the Hybrid Heating System and now Sempa works with resources across North America to assist them in making smart energy choices to lower costs and reduce greenhouse gases.
