Ron Dizy
President, CEO
ENBALA is led by Ron Dizy. A veteran of high-growth technology companies, Ron focuses on the company’s overall strategic direction, value and growth.
Ron most recently served as a partner at Celtic House Venture Partners, one of Canada's leading venture capital firms. Prior to joining Celtic House, Ron served as a portfolio manager for the venture capital group at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and co-founded Altera Systems, a consulting firm focused on business applications of artificial intelligence. Ron holds a BASc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Malcolm Metcalfe LVO, P. Eng
Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Malcolm Metcalfe is a Professional Engineer with close to 40 years of experience in energy and related systems. He is responsible for staying current on the energy market and developing innovative solutions to maximize its efficiency and reliability.
Malcolm has worked in a variety of management positions for BC Hydro, Shell Canada and CP/Canadian Airlines. In 1999, he set up a consulting business and later founded ENBALA. Malcolm was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honors List for 1999 and was inducted as a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in October 1999.A graduate of the University of British Columbia, he holds a BASc and MASc in Electrical Engineering, with the latter specialized in Power Systems.

Ken Scott
Chief Financial Officer
Ken Scott brings to ENBALA two decades of experience in fundraising, investing in startup companies and operating new ventures. Prior to joining ENBALA in 2010 Ken was co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Metconnex Inc., where he raised over $10 million of venture funding from cross-border investors and grew the company from four to 50 employees.
Ken’s background includes 10 years at BMO Nesbitt Burns, where he gained significant experience in debt and equity origination, initial public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. In 1999, he joined JDS Uniphase, where he led in-house M&A activities and was responsible for JDSU's venture capital portfolio. Ken has been active in the start-up world as an intermediary, an investor and a business founder. He holds a BA from Queens University with concentrations in English Literature and Computing Science, as well as an MBA from York University.

Omar Alghabra
Vice Pesident of Corporate Development
Omar Alghabra is responsible for ENBALA’s strategic initiatives and partnerships. He is directly involved in managing alliances with businesses and governments to facilitate faster growth and implementation of ENBALA’s Network. A professional engineer, Omar has more than 15 years of experience in business development strategy, marketing and communications, government relations, and business management in the technology and energy sectors.
Prior to joining ENBALA, Omar spent seven years with General Electric, where he rapidly rose through the ranks, played a major role in accelerating the company's growth, and was designated as a Top Talent employee. Omar holds an MBA from York University and a BA in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson Polytechnic University. He was also the Member of Parliament for the riding of Mississauga-Erindale between January 2006 and October 2008.

Rob Coulbeck
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs
Rob Coulbeck monitors and manages ENBALA’s regulatory and rule requirements as identified by the Independent System Operators (ISO), Regional Transmission Operators (RTO) and other government agencies in all regions of operations. Rob brings over 20 years of electricity industry experience to ENBALA, with a strong focus in power grid management, generation portfolio optimization and energy trading.
Rob’s career began as an electrical operator with Ontario Hydro and Hydro One before joining Ontario Power Generation (OPG) in 1999. He played a key role in OPG’s preparation for the opening of the Ontario Wholesale Electricity Market in 2002 and represented the generation portfolio interests in IESO stakeholder initiatives. In November 2007, Rob joined Royal Bank of Canada to monitor the electricity markets of North-Eastern Interconnect System. He was active in the stakeholder communities of NYISO, PJM, MISO, ISO-NE and IESO representing the interests of RBC and the trading/marketing community. Rob is committed to promoting efficient wholesale electricity markets and believes the coordination of all North-Eastern Interconnect markets will provide a solid foundation for future market developments.

Todd Sankey
Vice President, Product Development
Todd Sankey insures that ENBALA's corporate goals and research activities are translated into successful product and service development programs. He leads and manages the development teams to ensure that ENBALA products and services are best in class. This includes architecting critical infrastructure, building and managing the teams, and planning and optimizing the engineering processes, while working closely with the rest of the senior management.
Previously, Todd was Chief Technology Officer at Dyaptive Systems, a company which he co-founded offering unique and powerful performance measurement products for the wireless telecommunications industry. Prior to that, Todd led software product teams at Philips Semiconductor and Honeywell. Todd has also co-authored several patents. Todd received his BASc and MASc in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia.

Carlos Silva
Executive Vice President, Operations
Carlos Silva leads ENBALA's Operations functions which include engineering, procurement, construction and customer service. Carlos has a proven track record in building motivated teams and implementing effective processes aligned with business strategy, objectives and values.
In his role at ENBALA, Carlos draws on his extensive experience as an operation’s executive, most recently as Director of Operations with Biorem Technology and as Global Sourcing Manager with GE Water Technologies among others.
