ENBALA Power - Industrial/Commercial Sector
ENBALA pays large industrial and commercial electricity users for participating in the Smart Grid.

LEARN.
The ENBALA Power Network pays large industrial and commercial electricity users for contributing the inherent flexibility in how their electrical equipment uses power to provide system balance and quality services to the regional electricity system.
Network participants are paid based on the size assets that participate in the network and the level of flexibility that those assets can provide. ENBALA’s unique platform allows participants to specify their own, customized constraints on flexibility and availability -- so that there is no impact on the effective operations of their equipment or processes.
This also means that customers with processes that might vary by time of day or even seasonally, can still participate -- the ENBALA Power Network is resilient and can adapt to different and changing levels of flexibility - even in real time.
QUALIFY.
Industrial and commercial facilities that use large amounts of electricity in their daily operations with some flexibility, can participate in the ENBALA Power Network. Examples of equipment that consumes large amounts of electricity with a proven capacity for flexibility in operation, without impacting processes, include:
- Industrial cold storage units
- Industrial boilers
- Industrial chillers
- Wood chippers/rock crushers
- Generators that burn landfill gas
- Large battery charging stations
- Biofiltration units
- Aerators used to treat wastewater
- Large-scale pumps and ventilators
- Incinerators
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units installed in buildings
- Air radiators
