Primary Function:
The Product Application Engineer/Technologist will be a member of the technical operations team reporting to the VP of Technical Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, reporting, and optimization of all aspects related to our Hybrid Heating™ System. This patent-pending technology uses real time intelligent controls to track and manage heating demand and chooses between heating sources to keep buildings operating on the lowest-cost energy source. The system automatically determines the best time to switch between natural gas or propane to electricity to optimize energy efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Continuously optimize complex control algorithms to ensure maximum energy savings
Produce monthly reports detailing reductions in: operating costs, GHG emissions, and energy consumption
Troubleshoot issues related to: PLC, computer networking, electric metering, and building automation systems
Ensure compliance to End Service Agreements (ESA) with existing customers
Maintain client relationships through excellent customer service and technical knowledge
Meet or exceed key performance metrics related to Hybrid Heating
Work closely with the engineering team on new Hybrid Heating opportunities as they arise
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology
Experience with PLCs and building automation systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely fashion
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated customer service experience
Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Windows, and IT systems
